We are a neighborhood bistro with a focus on local and sustainable products. Literally “Paris” in Italian, Parigi restaurant relies on partnerships with local farmers, a menu that changes weekly, and a chef-driven kitchen to create a fresh experience.

Janice Provost, Chef/Owner Parigi Restaurant
Chad Houser, Chef/Partner Parigi Restaurant

Janice Provost began her culinary career working at Marty’s Fine Wine and Catering in 1995, as the Director of Catering. Yearning to be more hands-on, she took a position as a prep cook at Parigi in 1998. Learning her craft at the tiny Parigi kitchen, she eventually bought the restaurant in 2001.

For the past eight years, Parigi, a Neighborhood Restaurant in Dallas has continued to flourish and has grown at a steady rate of ten percent annually. Because of this growth, Janice looked to Chad Houser to become part of the Parigi Team in 2007. Chad also had a background in catering, as he was the executive chef at The Catering Company for 8 years.
Working together, Janice and Chad realized that they share the same culinary vision. Both are extremely creative individuals, and their philosophy of food, utilization of local ingredients, and sense of community in both their work environment, and the people they serve, is the base of their foundation.

In 2008, Chad became a partner at Parigi. The duo has continued to grow the restaurant’s business, as well as the catering arm of Parigi.

Their commitment to the community is evident in the organizations in which they are involved. Chad is a board member of the Friends of the Farmer’s Market, and Janice is a board member of the Greater Dallas Restaurant Association and Les Dames D’Escoffier, all of which focus on providing scholarships to students interested in following a career in the culinary arts. They both are volunteers for Dallas County Youth Village, and are creating a chef mentoring program for the young men of the Village. They believe that it is important to give back, and truly thrive on the energy and goodwill they receive by doing so.
