Located in northwest Austin, Mirabelle is a fine dining restaurant with the understated Austin feel of a neighborhood bistro. Open for both lunch and dinner, Mirabelle is best known for its full-flavored food, award-winning wine list, and calendar of special events. Since opening in 1998, Mirabelle has hosted over 150 wine-paired dinners with vineyard owners, winemakers, and importers from all over the world. Mirabelle also creates wine-paired menus for personal and business events, and hosts wedding and rehearsal dinners, business meetings and presentations, holiday parties, and other special occasion events.

Chef Joseph Bannistesr
I was born in 1975 and raised in Charleston, SC. My family moved to Galveston, TX, in 1988. I later moved to Austin, TX to attend UT. I began attending the Texas Culinary Academy and graduated in July of 1999. After some brief stints at Malaga wine bar and the Shoreline Grill, I ended up at Chez Zee, where I met my lovely wife, Victoria. I then moved on to become the Roundsman and interim Banquet Chef at the Headliner’s Club. I began my Mirabelle career as the Roundsman in 2004, training under Executive Chef David Apthorpe. I was then appointed Chef de Cuisine after his departure. I’ve been the Executive Chef at Mirabelle for 6 months now (from October 2007-present).
